O proposto é, caso o Geocacher queira participar (não é obrigatório), traga um objeto flutuador (serão atribuídos pontos de bónus a quem traga um patinho de borracha), sem nenhum método de propulsão associado para uma competição inédita!
- Serão feitas 5 regatas para determinar o vencedor.
- A distância a percorrer na Levada será de 200 metros.
- Se algum “patinho”, por algum acaso ficar preso, só poderá ser libertado após 15 segundos.
- Será usado o Sistema de Pontuação Bonificada.
- A pontuação total de cada concorrente na série será o total das obtidas nas suas regatas.
Será vencedor quem obtiver a menor pontuação na série.
- Se houver empate na pontuação de uma série, entre dois ou mais barcos, será desfeito a favor do barco com maior número de primeiros lugares, ou, persistindo o empate, com maior número de segundos, ou lugares inferiores se necessário, considerando somente os pontos de cada barco que contam para a sua pontuação na série.
Serão atribuídos prémios aos 3 primeiros classificados!

In a recent Geocaching event, we were having a very interesting conversation about this hobby and at a certain point, Geocachers Salecy and MMXX and I, started to brainstorm about activities related to Geocaching that would be interesting to do on Madeira island.
One of the ideas, I thought at the time, would be a great success!
Or maybe not!
Therefore, on December 17, 2022, at the indicated coordinates, the following event will take place:
I Geocacher Regatta on the Levadas of Madeira Island
The proposal is, in case the Geocacher wants to participate in the race (not mandatory), he/she should bring a floating object (bonus points will be awarded to whoever brings a rubber ducky), without any associated propulsion method for an unprecedented competition!
- There will be 5 races to determine the winner.
- The distance to travel on Levada will be 200 meters.
- If any “duckling”, by any chance, gets stuck, it can only be released after 15 seconds.
- The Bonus Points System will be used.
- The total score of each competitor in the series will be the total of those obtained in their races.
The person with the lowest score in the series will be the winner.
- If there is a tie in the score of a series, between two or more boats, it will be broken in favor of the boat with the highest number of first places, or, if the tie persists, with the highest number of seconds, or lower places if necessary, considering only the points from each boat that count towards your series score.
Prizes will be awarded to the top 3 finishers!
