Well, it's here! My 2022 Community Celebration Event will be in Gig Harbor at the Crescent Creek Park (AKA City Park). The event will run from 3 to 5 PM on Sunday September 11. This is the day after the Going APE MEGA Event (GC9N8PG).
We'll be celebrating the Geocaching Community of course; but in addition we'll celebrate the return of football, the end of the Summer heat and the start of our favorite PNW season... RAIN!
We'll meet up at the covered kitchen/picnic area, perhaps getting only a little damp. There will be treats and refreshments and we'll also have an area to display and discover TB's.
Caution, TB Swapping and a SWAG Raffle are also threatening to break out!
The park has a very nice children's play area, a world class PNW-themed wooden sculpture and both a Multi and Traditional cache to boot.
I'm looking forward to greeting a whole bunch of people and meeting some new friends as well as the US (Usual Suspects) from our local Puget Sound caching community!
This Event is part of a limited release of Community Celebration Events to celebrate 20 years of geocaching. Geocachers hosted events between May 2, 2020 and December 31, 2022. Learn more about Community Celebration Events on the Geocaching Blog.
