A Celebration of Winter!
Winter (as we all know) is a rather large seasonal component here in the north, and as such much of our caches opt to be winter friendly. Let's take the time to celebrate the season!
This is an event to bring your littles to!
Located near Rainbow Park's large sledding hill, access will be available (for those who wish) to go sledding or play on the playground equipment nearby. Parking can be achieved either along Rainbow Drive or at the Spruceland Traditional School parking lot which does have a crosswalk. We will also be looking at having a couple of small seasonal games (like snow soccer) as well as a snowman building contest. Bring whatever materials you would like to use to decorate your snowman (à la Mr. Potato Head), there will be a geocoin prize for the best snowman/snowcreature. Participation in games is not required, and if you wish to just come and hang out you are always more than welcome to do so!
This event is outdoors, snow or shine so please dress for the weather. There is no building to access to warm up/use the washroom, so please prepare accordingly. I also recommend bringing whatever seating arrangements you would like, as there is limited to no seating. Warm beverages and snacks will be acquired before the event, but you are welcome to bring your own stuff as well. Please leave a Will Attend log by November 30th so I can ensure there is enough consumeable items for all to enjoy.
As the event is in a No Pet Area as outlined by the City of Prince George, please leave all furry friends at home for this event.
