Each summer I try to run a kayak friendly event per week. I saved this CCE for way too long and failed to use it last year. This year I decided to start the summer with it.
We will meet at the parking area and paddle out Pond Brook which leads into Lake Lillinonah. I hear that there should be some new caches to find along the way but even without them the scenery and wildlife should be enough to keep your interest. Although the event runs from 8-10, we may be paddling a bit longer so be prepared with what you need or be prepared to turn back as desired.
A hike on the nearby trails is another option either before the event or after.
