Geocache Description:

12 April 2021, 16:30 - 18:30

Last year, the Covid-19 Virus put an end to our monthly get-togethers here in Las Vegas. Before that, we locals were blessed to have a dedicated couple who were scheduling regular monthly events - We4Fullers. Robin and Dan were amazing. They worked hard to schedule events in a variety of locations, at times when most others could attend, and  made sure that both locals and visiting cachers were welcome and had fun. Unfortunately, now, as more of us get vaccinated and just as the restrictions of last year are slowly being eased, and we can start getting together again (at least outdoors), the Fullers are leaving us the end of this month.

So - this is our chance to start getting together again while saying goodbye to a couple of great friends of the local geocaching community.  We still need to follow the guidelines; wear masks and use social distancing, but we can at least start easing into outdoor events.

The event will be on Monday since Dan Fuller is working weekends. Because it is a weekday, I've scheduled it for 4:30 PM to 6:30 PM to try to give those who are working a chance to come and say goodbye to Robin and Dan. Pizza, Wings and Cake will be provided. BYOBeverage.

Location is a picnic pavilion at Police Memorial Park, between Cheyenne and Gowan, behind the Las Vegas Police Dept. Northwest Command Center, 9850 W. Cheyenne. Drive in via Metro Academy Way just west of the Police Station.

If you need another reason to come - there is an Adventure Lab here in the park.

There are also nice sized dog parks here for those with pets.

This Event is part of a limited release of Community Celebration Events to celebrate 20 years of geocaching. Geocachers hosted events between May 2, 2020 and December 31, 2021. Learn more about Community Celebration Events on the Geocaching Blog.
