What is Friendsgiving?
The word "Friendsgiving" was officially added to the Merriam-Webster dictionary in January 2020 after being on its "Words We're Watching" list. It's, quite obviously, a compound of the words "friends" and "Thanksgiving" and refers to an informal iteration of the holiday that has become super common. It's basically the day you have Thanksgiving but with your friends. Sometimes it's in lieu of Thanksgiving or in addition to.

In the spirit of Friendsgiving, we will be collecting items for a local food pantry, OCEF, to help replenish the shelves after Thanksgiving and before Christmas. We all need a little help, and what is more helpful than a bunch of friends helping support friends in need?
You will receive 1 ticket for every item you donate, so don't be shy. Three ALL winners will be drawn at the end of the event. You must be present to win.
Items in higher need are: Personal care items such as toilet paper, paper towels, hand soap and detergents. Also, any non-perishable canned or boxed foods.
The event's festivities will include but are not limited to:
CAKE!!! What is a celebration without cake?!
Celebrate your milestone log board -- Use each other's milestones as conversation starters!

The first 50 in attendance will get a special gift designed specifically for this event.

Everyone will vote anonymously for the best ugly sweater. The sweater with the most votes wins a prize! Voting will end at 7:30.
