Where: Diamond Head Campground - link
When: Saturday, 15 October 2022 - 6pm-8pm
What to bring: BYO everything. Food/drink/camping equipment. Maybe bring some snacks for the nibblies table.
Some teams will be camping overnight. Geocachers who don't wish to camp are still very welcome to attend (National Park visitor fees apply).
The event is on well maintained National Park campgrounds, and camping/vehicle access fees do apply. Fires are allowed - off ground in braziers or similar (dependent on any local firebans), firewood is available to purchase, and all sites are unpowered. There is an amenities block with showers (BYO hot water bag) and flushing toilets. Access roads are unsealed, well graded gravel roads. You can approach Diamond Head from the north through Laurieton, or from the south through Harrington, whichever way you come there are plenty of caches, including the awesome Mid North Coast Wander series.
As the campground is within Crowdy Bay National Park, dogs and pets are not permitted.
To camp you will need to make an advance booking through the campground link above. We've booked site 58, as it is in a quieter corner of the park. At this time there are plenty of sites available, but this can change....
