Geocache Description:

25 January 2020, 11:00 - 12:00

Gathering between 11 am and noon in a beautiful Oak hammock in Conner Preserve. Hike or bike of about 1.4 miles from the nearest parking on SR 52 which I highly suggest. There are a couple of other entrances off SR 52 but you MUST park well off the road or you may get ticketed. (I got a warning ticket awhile back at one of those entries). Absolutely no parking is allowed on Ehern Cutoff road to the east.

There are other trails that will get you there but are a longer hike. I've posted the terrain as a two but depending on any rain you will undoubtedly get your feet wet as some of these trails flood.

If you decide to join us, there will be the usual stories and lies. Host will provide a prize or two and I expect there will be wild turkey sightings as well. Bring your own lunch and libations for yourself or to share.

Bill Z has placed 170 caches in the preserve in the last two years. Most are easy to find but the terrain can be dry to moist, to very wet which some of you "Swamp Rats" love. Swamps are also available nearby for those Rats with the need to stay hydrated.

Please be aware there are alligators, rattlesnakes (big and small), hogs and other critters who live in this preserve. Caution and common sense is advised!
