Geocache Description:

IF YOU WOULD LIKE TO ADD TO THIS SERIES, PLEASE CONTACT THE SERIES OWNER (SEE BELOW)
We are often told (correctly, if somewhat ideologically), that geocaches should take us to somewhere "interesting", and not simply be placed just for the sake of it. The aim of this series is to try and adhere to this ideal by basing caches around details given on an Information Board about the area in which it is situated. By definition, it is hoped that this information will be "interesting", and will help the cacher discover things about the area that would often not be revealed by a traditional cache.

The given coordinates take you to an information board about the park. Gather the following numbers to find the coordinates to the cache:

1) What year was New Hall Valley Country Park opened? = ABCD

2) What century was the water mill built? = EF century.(there are two different centuries listed, use the one on the left!

3) What century was the manor house built? = GH century.

4) What sunday of the month is the usual free open day of the water mill? = J sunday of the month.

The cache can be found at N 52.33.H (F+A) (D-E)  W 001.48.(E+F) B (D+G

Watch Geokids and Geodogs, there is a river in the park and there are cyclists along. The park also is very popular with dog walkers, and runners, so stealth is essential. Please close the cap tight, and make sure the cache isn't visible to passing muggles.

I hope that you find this an interesting variation on the caching experience. For a full list of all FYI caches in the series, please go to the series’ very own website http://fyigeocaching.co.uk where you will be able to access a Bookmark list.

If you know of any interesting / informative Interpretation Boards (I'm sure you do!), and would like to contribute to the continued expansion of the FYI series, you will also find placement guidelines there, as well as a Contact Form to apply for a series number. Alternatively, you can contact the CO and Series Owner, FYI_Geocaching, either via the Geocaching website, or at fyigeocaching@outlook.com
