Geocache Description:

In the late 1970's the bar that was here was known as The Trident.  It was popular with the emerging punk music scene in Northern Ireland and was immortalised in the lyrics of Stiff Little Fingers anthem 'Alternative Ulster':

"There's nothin' for us in Belfast
The Pound's old, and that's a pity
OK, so there's the Trident in Bangor
And then you walk back to the city."
