The container was thoroughly sanitized for your protection before beginning its new life as a geocache. GPSr measured the round trip hike from designated parking at @1.2 miles but there are many trails in this park that will get you to the correct spot. Lots of fat-tire bicycle tracks in the area if that is your preferred method of travel. This cache replaces one lost nearby in the floods of 2019 - still on the floodplain but much less likely to be submerged in times of high water.
