The northern edge of the county is in Jefferson Township. The Pequonnock River provides a portion of the northern border of the county. It would be pretty difficult to place a cache further north of here due to lack of trails, the highway, river, and rail line. This portion of the county is somewhat rugged and mountainous. This cache is located on the Highlands Trail which runs from Hunterdon County to the New York border.
NOTE: You cannot park directly near the cache, use the parking on Canistear Road, cross at the light, and follow the teal blazes to the cache
