The Beaver Dam School District was established on July 8, 1904. The first school built here was a one room schoolhouse that taught grades one through nine. There was also a barn to house the various forms of transportation the students used to get to the school.
The second schoolhouse built in 1940 was also a one room building but it had a basement, a teacherage (a place for the teacher to live in) and two outhouses.
The third schoolhouse was built in 1961, had two classrooms and was in use until 1972 when the school was closed and students then bused into Crossfield. The second 1940 schoolhouse that was still there was moved to Weedon for use as the community hall. The 1961 schoolhouse was sold and is now a private residence.
As the school is now a private residence the cache is not right at the location of the Beaver Dam School, but if you look east in the distance, you can see the 1961 schoolhouse from here.
