This cache is placed at the site of the Lynyrd Skynyrd Monument in Gillsburg, MS. The monument is placed to remember those who died in the plane crash and to honor those who survived and the rescuers that responded. The monument was dedicated October 20, 2019 with several family members of those killed in the crash present. This cache has been placed with the cooperation of the board of directors for the monument project. It is no longer a bison tube due to the constant disappearance of the tubes. After discussion with one of the board of directors you can claim the cache just by signing the guest book. Just write your geocaching name small in parentheses is the space with your name. The main purpose of this cache is to call attention to the memorial. It is not on the monument itself. Please do not attempt to locate the crash site itself from either cache location.
