You will find this cache in the White Pond Multiple Use Area in Putnam County N.Y......................It is a fairly short walk from the posted parking area although the better part of this walk is somewhat of a bushwhack...........................I'm giving this one a 3 1/2 terrain rating as kind of a seasonal average. As of this posting and this time of the year (January) terrain is a two , but add snow and ice and being overgrown in the summer and my rating should be spot on......................leave the paved part of the trail at the spillway and follow the very cool stone canal/aqueduct to this location................. and that stone canal and WPMUA goes for about a mile down past Dean Road off of Farmers Mill Road.......................You are looking for a three inch wide PVC tube here and it has room for lots of stuff.....................There is a pen and pencil in the container but it is always a good idea to bring your favorite writing utensil with you just in case....................Make sure it is closed snugly but not over tightened when you leave...........................Watch your footing and little ones if you bring them along and As Always Have Fun, Be safe, and Enjoy!!
