Geocache Description:

Primitive Methodist Chapel

Unfortunately not a church micro as this magnificent building was converted into a shop and is now currently empty, waiting for a new owner to breath new life into it.

The foundation stone for the Paradise Row Primitive Methodist Chapel was laid in June 1865.  It seated 620 people and cost over £3,000 to build.  It served the local community well and was very popular - Sunday School attendance saw a membership of 137 in 1893.  The chapel unfortunately closed and the final service was held on Sunday 28th December, 1947.  After this a number of business ventures made use of the property, but it now stands empty and awaits its revival.

Now for the cache - a simple off set multi with a short(ish) walk to find your prize.

The cache can be found at - N 54° 34.ABC W 001° 18.DEF

To find ABC

There is a small service access cover on the pavement just outside of the right hand door entrance.

The cover has three letters on it.

Use their position in the alphabet (eg - Z=26) and in the order they are displayed as if reading them

A = First letter, minus 7

B = Second letter, plus 1

C = Third letter, minus 10

To find DEF

Look at the grey electric box across the road towards the junction (at N 54° 34.038 W 001° 18.467 to be precise)

It has a number on it beginning with S

D = First number, minus the second number

E = Fifth number, minus the first number, plus the third number

F = Fourth number

Check sum - 15

Good luck!
