Redmond Rain can be treated best when systems work together!
Stormwater treatment facilities do a better job cleaning up stormwater when they work together.
The facilities here are placed "in series". That means that one pond does its job and water from it flows into the next pond, and so on. These ponds work together like this:
1) Pond #1 removes 80% of the pollutants from stormwater, leaving just 20% left.
2) Pond #2 removes 80% of the remaining 20%. 80% + (80% of 20%) = 96%.
3) With two facilities working together, you only have 4% of the pollutants remaining.
If you walk these trails and look closely, you can see that there are three ponds here. Stormwater runoff from the street flows to Pond #1. Pond #1 overflows to Pond #2. Pond #2 overflows to Pond #3. If each pond removes 80% of the pollutants that enter it, what percent of the pollutants are left as water flows from Pond #3 into the river? And if a train is traveling from Bellevue to Redmond at 60 miles per hour . . .

Posted Coordinates: Find the Cable box. Hold down the button. You should see a blue light.
Ground Zero: You will find the other box at the location of the Final. You will find a latch with a lock on it. Open the latch (it is not locked). Next, examine the box. You should see two switches and a button. Nothing will happen, except while you hold down the button. Try some different switch configurations. One combination will turn on a green light, confirming you have power. Another switch combination will make the box pop open.
When you are all done, please push the box closed and latch it again to keep things waterproof. If you use a pencil, please replace it.
(If you find the containers but the lights don't come on when you push the buttons, leave a "Needs Maintenance".)
