This cache will take you to a bevy of butterfly sculptures beautifing Billian Legion Park in Bound Brook. This park is also known as Mariposa Park where there is a Story Book Trail accompanied by large 3D sculptures of butterflies created by the Somerset County 4-H/Middle Earth Student Ambassadors for Community Health.
Park at parking coordinates and proceed to the beginning of the short Story Book Trail. Enjoy the story and the butterflies along the way.

Proceed through the story of a a hungry squirrel named Sam, Maria the Butterfly and all the creatures of the forest. Find the X for the final location by substituting X with the total number of characters minus the number of birds. Find the Y for the final location by substituting Y with the number of butterflies in the story.
The North American Butterfly Association complied a list of over 100 butterflies found in New Jersey including Swallowtails, Whites and Sulphurs, Gossamer-winged, Metalmarks, Brushfooted, and Skippers. In your log mention any butterflies that you see at this park or maybe your favorite butterfly. If you are more of a night owl and like moths, you can mention that in your log as well.
