Geocache Description:


All answers will be found on this L shaped pier. Be aware this is a working area and may contain trip hazards such as fishing nets. This area can be slippy when wet. Take care at the end of the pier when it is windy. Caution at all times. Please keep mini cachers close and safe.

A - The number of red bollards on this L shaped pier .go right to the end and count them all.

B - Harbour speed limit on the notice near the published co ords. This is the driving speed limit sign, not the water speed at the far end of the pier. This is a double figure.

c - How many stone steps at the end of the harbour wall. (Where the white chain is).

D - At the end of the pier by the stone steps there is a white chain.How many bolts support the white chain. 

E - The number of rung ladders in the pier wall, used by the fishermen to get on and of their boats. 

F - The number of cast iron rings on the pier, between the bollards. these rings are also used to tie up fishing boats.You need to go to the end of the pier as there are some there, again this is double figures.  

G - The dates on the flagstone at the end of the pier.By the railings. This can at times be covered in sea water, just sloosh it away with your wellies. First digit.

H - What month did Colonel Cadell die. First letter = no of alphabet.

J - How many large black anchors are in the car parking area.

K - On the back of the bench in the car parking area, there is a polite notice. It mentions a bird. How many letters in the bird name. 

L - The memorial plaque at the end of the pier in red granite, eleventh line, last word, no of letters. 

M - How many bolts hold the plaque in place. 

 

The cache can be found at N55 (A- B) (K + 1) ,  J (L - 2) K  W02 (D+F (last digit) (C - 10),   (F- 3) (A - F + 2) (K + J + M - G)

Northing check sum = 26  Westing check sum = 34

 

This is my first multi. Hope you enjoy. The cache is a short walk away in an interesting area. If I have made any mistakes,please let me know, I checked the numbers several times, but mistakes can happen.
