2020 is a Leap Year. What does this mean? GEOART!!! The Leap Day 2020 Geoart is comprised of 58 geocaches brought to you by aghudley(the brains behind the art), Chane Gang, and DirtBikeGranny.

The Fred Meijer Flat River Valley Rail-Trails runs from Belding to Greenville and caches are placed within the right of way for the trail. A few caches are placed along the Fred Meijer Flat River Trail that circles Greenville. There is parking at Jackson Landing Park in Greenville along M57. Belding has few different locations for parking at Long Lake Rd, Hock Rd, and Belding Skate Park. Coordinates for parking area in the additional waypoints.

You can walk, run, bike, snowshoe, and cross country ski the rail-trail between Belding and Greenville. Currently the majority of rail-trail is not paved; it is crushed asphalt. Some caches may require wading, short tree climbs, log crossing, and climbing up steep hills. Most but NOT all the caches are winter friendly. All containers are painted soda bottle preforms tied to location with strong camoed fish line. Please return the cache to it original location.

The Northern Spring Peeper grows from A.B - C.D inches in length. This small amphibian Inhabits temporary and permanent ponds, marshes, flooded areas, and ditches during breeding season, after which will disperse into woodlands, old fields, and shrubby areas. The adult has slightly extended, nearly triangular toe pads. Males are slightly smaller and usually darker than females. During breeding season the vocal pouch in males is visible as speckled brown or greenish loose skin on throat. Voice: High pitched “peep” about once per second. May also voice a low-pitched whistle which is likely a territorial response to another male encroaching on its calling site.
