Geocache Description:

Back in 2010, bikerbuddy bought a GPS and told me about things called geocaches he had heard of. So on 15/1/2010 we ventured into the bush, not far from home to see if they actually existed. I know that I wasn't convinced there would be anything there. But off we went with handheld GPS to see. Our nearest cache to home was #22 AEIOU, a cache which is still one of the original and oldest caches in Australia. We found it that day and geocaching became a pastime for the entire family.

Now I am pretty much the only one in the family who is still actively caching. I love getting out and seeing new places. Now I mainly cache with thomo31. Ten years on I have cached through Australia, New Zealand, the US and the UK and Europe, including 16 countries. I've done over 5000 caches and enjoyed it immensely. It's been an amazing ride and I don't intend to stop any time soon.

This cache is placed for this anniversary. It is a multi, my favourite kind of cache. My caches always try to take people to places they may not know existed. They also generally encourage kids to do them, although this one may be a bit more slippery for some. This cache is related to a policeman who was killed by bushrangers. Once you have been there, you may like to do a search to find out more information. Hope you enjoy this one step multi.

To find the cache

Sadly, the grave was stolen last year, so the information you need is now shown by a photograph of the grave in the photo gallery for you to do the calculations, however the co ordinates above will take you to where the grave was and are still a good starting point and are not far from the actual cache:

A is the number of lines on the inscription including the curved one)

B is the second digit of the day listed plus 3

C is the first digit of the day

D is his age less 57

E is the number of letters in his full name less 6

F is the last digit of the year less 5.

The cache is located at S 33 42.ABC E150 30.DEF Good Luck!

At the time of publication, this geocache was free of any bushfires nearby, but please be aware that the general area has been hit recently, so take care. **Congratulations to TeamCanary for FTF**
