Back in the late 80s and early 90s, this place used to make micro chips for computer products. In the mid 90's the company consolidated two manufacturing plants to one which was up in Colorado Springs. Then about 2 years later, the company moved all the microchip processing to China. Since then, this location has been more or less vacant. This is a great grab and go for those on I-25.
A lot of caches in Fountain are disappearing due to construction. I wanted to put some out there to attract folks to Fountain and put them in locations that I know aren’t going to fall to a bulldozer. I hope you enjoy your trip.
