This should be a nice quick grab if your on you're bike or on foot, but if you're in your car, you should find a safe place to park. Avoid crossing the street here as it's on a curve and people tend to go a bit fast on this road.
This cache is hidden as part of HAG XVI
What is HAG XVI? Well it's the 16th annual HAG event.
What is a HAG Event?
HAG stands for Hide and Go cache, and this year is the 16th annual Vancouver Island HAG event. It goes like this:
Local cachers spend the Winter hiding caches for the HAG, these are held back by the reviewers until the first Saturday in February (February 1st this year) and then they're all published at once (super exciting to have anywhere from 100 to 600 local caches appear in your email all at once!).
We then have a great time hunting the caches, and we wrap it all up with a big gathering at a local pub (kids welcome) on the first Saturday in March. This is our chance to meet old and new friends, share our caching adventures, and distribute a bunch of silly trophies.
If you want to read all about it you can go to http://hagcaching.cachemania.ca/
Please feel free to contact me if you have questions about this, or indeed anything else caching related.
Cheers, and happy caching.
