Forming one of the Post Box Walks on St Helena - High Hill is composed of phonolitic rocks that were formed at a late stage in St Helena’s volcanic activity. This walk takes you through woodland up to the top of High Hill, where walkers will encounter spectacular views and the remains of an old signal station.
The start of the path is clearly marked with an official Post Box sign and the pathway is very well kept with wooden staircases helping you traverse the more difficult parts.
The views from the top are spectacular, giving you panoramic views of the western side of the Island.
Take water and be prepared to just sit and enjoy the views.
