Una cache al Cimitero Monumentale di Torino! Vi proponiamo una passeggiata di circa 2 Km tra i sepolcri: in 45 minuti si possono effettuare le rilevazioni per tutti gli stage e il percorso per raggiungere il final. Tutto il tragitto si svolge senza dislivelli.
This is a puzzle-walk cache through the Monumental Cemetery of Turin! This walk is about 2 Km and 45 minutes. There is no level difference from the beginning.
ATTENZIONE!
L’unico stage "fisico" è il "final" ed è posizionato all'esterno del cimitero.
Tutti gli stage intermedi sono "virtuali", situati all'interno del cimitero, scelti in modo tale che venga sempre rispettata la sacralità del luogo.
Gli indizi sono facilmente visibili e i geocacher non devono spostare o anche solo toccare nulla.
Vi invitiamo a svolgere la ricerca degli indizi all'interno delle mura con il massimo rispetto e mantenendo un comportamento consono.
WARNING!

Every halfway stage is a "virtual" one, located inside the cemetery, chosen in such a way that the sacredness of the place is always respected.

Il cimitero monumentale è il più grande cimitero della città di Torino, tra i primi in Italia per numero di defunti. La parte antica del cimitero, di forma ottagonale, contiene numerose tombe storiche e 12 km di porticati, arricchiti da sculture di notevole pregio artistico. Nel corso degli anni vi sono stati successivi ampliamenti del corpo storico centrale arrivando a oggi a una superficie di circa 600.000 metri quadrati.
La costruzione del Monumentale fu deliberata nel 1827 dal consiglio dei decurioni, antenato del moderno consiglio comunale, in sostituzione del piccolo e vetusto cimitero di San Pietro in Vincoli. La proposta e il finanziamento dell'opera avvennero su impulso del filantropo Marchese Carlo Tancredi Falletti di Barolo, che nel 1828, con la donazione di 300 mila lire piemontesi, ne permise l'acquisto del terreno e l'edificazione del primo nucleo.
All’interno del Cimitero Monumentale sono sepolte importanti personalità appartenenti ai più svariati settori: politica, scienza, cultura e spettacolo. Tramite questa multicache vogliamo farvene conoscere alcuni e invogliarvi a scoprirne altri.

The monumental cemetery is the largest cemetery in the city of Turin, among the first in Italy by number of deceased. The ancient part of the cemetery, octagonal in shape, contains numerous historical tombs and 12 km of arcades, enriched with sculptures of considerable artistic value. Over the years, there have been successive extensions of the central historical body, reaching today an area of about 600,000 square meters.
The council of decurions, ancestor of the modern city council, to replace the small and old cemetery of San Pietro in Vincoli, deliberated the construction of the monumental one in 1827. The proposal and the financing of the work took place on the impulse of the philanthropist Marquis Carlo Tancredi Falletti of Barolo, who in 1828, with the donation of 300 thousand Piedmontese lire, allowed the purchase of the land and the construction of the first nucleus.
Important personalities belonging to the most varied sectors are buried inside the Monumental Cemetery: politics, science, culture and entertainment. Through this multicache we want to introduce you to some of them and encourage you to discover other ones.
