A little cache to force you to "Walk The Plank". When you get to the pole, you are very close to the cache. You will also be very close to where the Santa Barbara's sand dredge is usually moored.
WALK THE PLANK!
In Santa Barbara Harbor, sand dredging happens twice every year. About 320,000 yards of sand is removed and transported 1.5 miles down the coast from Santa Barbara Harbor annually, in this two-cycle approach. The sand is moved beyond the wave shadow of the harbor to the surf zone, replenishing the east beach area. Each year, dredging happens between November and December, and then again in March. The Dredge is usually moored in the harbor year round.
