Geocache Description:

Years ago, when I started geocaching, I went out caching during a family vacation...in December...in Minnesota.  Telling stories about my adventures that evening, Mom said "that sounds fun, can I go with you tomorrow?".  The next day was kind of drizzly and cold.  Despite the weather, Mom thought it was entertaining.  A few days later, I was out caching on some DNR property.  It was a glorious early January day, cold but sunny, snow sparkling gorgeously, fun Spike007 caches (if you know what I mean!).  I called Mom and said "bring your snowshoes and join me".  She did, and the rest is history!  She called her sister in North Carolina and said "I found something to get me excited to be outside in Winter!"  Ever after, she rarely let the weather bother her, caching in rain, snow, heat, humidity, etc. Dad of XZQ&Dad mis-heard her name, and thought people were calling her "angelic", so all his logs on her hides would reference that nickname.

Our family constantly teased her about her passion for geocaching.  But, I pointed out that anything she did, she did with passion.  She was a nurse, who had survived breast cancer, and was always available to talk to people who were newly diagnosed with any cancer.  She complained to my dad that she struggled with her Spanish for translating at the Free Clinic, so he suggested she go on an Eye Glass Mission to Nicaragua. She thoroughly enjoyed it, brought along friends and family, and roped many of us into continuing the project.  She LOVED her grandkids, and often told my siblings that she needed a "grandkid fix" and took them for the day, playing games, hiking/biking/sledding, and of course...geocaching!  She also did a lot of volunteering at church, lectoring, doing pre-marriage councelling for engaged couples and prayer services.

The cache container is one muddajay picked up at a garage sale! It felt appropriate to use it. Permission for placement of this cache was given by Allen O'Neill.
