Geocache Description:

Welcome to my Greek Mythology Series! Prometheus was a Titan God of Fire. He sided with Zeus is in the war between the Titans and the Olympian Gods, but then fought with Zeus about his treatment of humanity. This led to Prometheus stealing fire from the gods and gifting it to humanity. Prometheus stole the fire from Mount Olympus and brought it back to earth in a fennel stack. This act was the inspiration for an event instituted by the ancient Athenians, during which a team passed a flaming torch between them, and the winning team lit the sacrificial fire on the altar of Athena at the Acropolis. This was the origin of the relay race, and also the modern Olympic flame ceremony. As punishment for stealing fire from the gods, Zeus captured Prometheus and chained him to a rock, where each day an eagle would prey on his liver, which would regenerate each day to be eaten again. Prometheus was eventually freed, when Heracles (Hercules) happened upon him on the way to his eleventh labour, ‘to steal the Hesperidean Apples’. Heracles shot the eagle, and in return, Prometheus instructed him on how to get Atlas on side to help with his task. You are looking for a small, round, screw top container containing a log only, please bring your own pen. Sorry no room for swaps. Please use stealth and replace natural camouflage. https://www.greekmythology.com/Titans/Prometheus/prometheus.html
