Today's Woodbridge event happens to fall on National Cereal Day. Cereal is the most popular breakfast food in America, but that wasn’t always the case. Up until the 1860s, most people ate eggs, bacon, and sausage every morning. Cereal emerged as a healthier alternative at the end of the 19th century. Corn Flakes were created by accident in 1877 by the Kellog brothers during a search for good, wholesome vegetarian food. National Cereal Day can be easily celebrated by simply pouring yourself a bowl of your favorite cereal, trying a new cereal, or making Rice Crispy Treats. So, let’s snap, crackle, and pop and meet up at the WBM&G!
This month's event will be held on the 1st Saturday of the month and as always we will meet in the upstairs eating area of Wegmans. This place has plenty of food to choose from downstairs, but you do not have to purchase anything to attend this event. Please do not bring any outside food into the store that you intend to consume on the premises.
If you feel like hanging out with some laid-back geo-friends I hope that you'll be able to join us for a bit and chat. All are welcome; whether you are a first timer or a regular. Don't worry if you can't stay stay the whole time, won't be able to make it until later in the event, or you are just popping in for a few minutes to say "hi!" It's all good at the WM&G!
