Just off Acacia Bay Road is this little gem of a cache hidden while walking my two dogs on a balmy Summer's night in January 2020.Firstly, it is recommended to enter the walkway the cache is found just off from Reeves Road and park at the corner of Reeves Road and Te Moenga Park. This will enable you to pick up another quick grab cache on the way down the walk. This secluded, quite, and hidden walk runs from the top of Reeves Road down to the white fenced gateway signs of Acacia Bay. The cache is located at the gateway end of the walk hence the name. Enjoy the native park-like walk seeing NZ native trees, birdlife and make sure you sstop for a read of the 'Pooch Oak Tree Garden Seat". You can't miss it and the poem that accompanies it certainly is worth a read and chuckle!
The cache itself is probably not a quick grab and likely some stealth is required. Although you all may well suprise me. It is a small plastic Systema container with log, pencil, and a little token that is common in all my local caches that says it's one of mine (Very Kiwi!). Once found, please replace it as you found it and help hide it again keeping nice and dry. Happy hunting!
