Geocache Description:

Welcome to my Greek Mythology Series! Hypnos, son of Nyx and Erebus, is the Greek God of Sleep, and the twin brother of Thanatos (Death). Hypnos and his brother lived in caves in the Underworld, where no light came. In front of the cave were poppies and other sleep inducing plants, and the river Lethe flowed through the cave. Hypnos and his wife Pasithea had three sons (Morpheus, Phobetor and Phantasos, who were collectively called the Oneiroi (the dreams). The Oneiroi live in a cave near the Ocean, and the cave had two doors which would send people their dreams. Before the dreams could be sent, Hypnos had to put people to sleep. In Homer's Iliad, Hera asks Hypnos to put Zeus to sleep so that she can aid the Greeks in their war against Troy. Hypnos is depicted as a young man with wings either on his shoulders or on his brow. You are looking for a small, round, screw top container containing a log only, please bring your own pen. Sorry no room for swaps. Please use stealth and replace natural camouflage. https://www.britannica.com/topic/Hypnos Hypnos: GreekMythology.com - Jan 22, 2020 Hypnos: https://greekgodsandgoddesses.net - Greek Gods & Goddesses, March 14, 2017
