This cache is on Newport News Park Grounds. I would leave trailhead or parking coordinates but there are several to chose from, and generally they're all going to require a hike - which really is the purpose of this cache. This one is somewhere between the Swamp Fire Trail and the Bike Trail; either way, I think the minimum you will have to hike is at least 2 miles, round trip.
I've had this container for a while and thought it would make a good cache container but had no idea how I was going to place it. When I stumbled upon this area, I thought this caches namesake would have enjoyed the area and decided I would try it out here - you'll understand why the namesake even matters when you see the container. I might eventually have to weatherproof it, but for now, this will do.
