Anglican church in the Borough of Poole. The church was completed in 1894.It is said to be graceful and refined with three gables and no clerestory. The interior is spacious and beautiful. The stained glass in the East Window dates from 1911. All the other windows are plain glass in lozenge leaded lights. The doors, rood screen, altars, choir stalls, pulpit and organ case are of light oak, enriched with carving in the Perpendicular Gothic style. The organ is a Great War Memorial. The highlight of the Sanctuary is the stone reredos behind the Lord’s Table.This depicts the Last Supper in high relief. A memorial inside the church commemorates the death of thirty three civilian employees of Bournemouth Gas and Water Company who died when the nearby Bourne Valley Works canteen was bombed on 27th March 1941. A waypoint shows the nearest parking spaces from whence you can wander a few yards uphill to arrive at the church door to begin your search.
