Maple 4 Traditional Cache

Last year there was a geocahce at this location. I spent quite awhile looking for it without success. It has since been archived and this spot is available again. This is an island cache in Big Woods Lake. You cannot really approach it from the East or the North because that is private property. (There are plenty of signs to tell you that it is private property should you venture the wrong way.) I would suggest that you park in the south parking lot of Big Woods Lake and begin there. One can launch your boat or canoe. Once you get to the island you should be able to find the cache. On a nice day in the spring or the summer I would call this a "Paddle and Dock" cache. You don't need a pencil but you may need a TOTT to retrieve the log. I placed it so it should be immuned from spring flooding. Should you venture out in the winter pay attention to ice conditions!
