Just 35 miles north of downtown San Diego is the San Diego Wild Animal Park. The park covers approximately 1800 acres where 3500 animals can be observed in areas resembling their native land. A monorail tour is available that covers 3 miles and lasts 45 minutes. Also available is a 2 mile walk to take in the sights at your own leisure. The walk will take you through Nairobi Village where visitors can find places to eat, rest, and do a little shopping. You may want to take advantage of camping under the stars listening to the sounds of the animals or take a photo tour. The Wild Animal Park will provide a full day of adventures. Sorry, no pets allowed.
