When Tarfaya was occupied by the British in 1802, they built a trading post on the rock by the beach, which was later known as Casa Del Mar (Spanish House by the Sea). In 1876, this once strategic sea house was used as a shopping centre for more than 400 British merchants. But as Tarfaya's strategic importance declined, the building was not used and later became a ruin. However, nothing can take away her power and genius location.

Když byla Tarfaya v roce 1802 obsazena Brity . Postavili na na skále u pláže budovu později známou jako Casa Del Mar ( ze španělštiny Dům u moře). v roce 1876 byl tento mořský dům používán jako obchodní centrum pro více než 400 britských obchodníků. Stejně jako upadal strategický význam Tarfayi stejně tak se později nepoužívaná budova začala měnit v ruinu. Nic jí ale nedovede vzít její působivost a Genius loci
