Casa De Bugs is now open for business. Your travel bug will be safe here and well taken care of. It can stay for as long as it wants.
The story behind this how I aquired this hotel goes something like this. My son left me a message when I was working asking me to call. He told me that the neighbour behind us had dropped something off. He told me it was big so I guessed an ammo can. He said no...bigger. Really? He described it as a huge metal TB hotel. I was excited to see it. Once I got home and saw it with my own eyes, I was very excited. He too, was very excited and wanted to show me how to open it and what what inside. Wow, is all I can say. Wow, wow, wow. This was way above and beyond what I was expecting. My neighbour spent a lot of time creating this special travel bug hotel. There are lots of spots for all the bugs to stay. I had to go thank him and he told me the unfortunate story about not being able to publish it. I told him that if I hid it, that people would like this awesome cache.
Inside, there were 2 of his travel bugs that hadn't started their travels. There was also another coin belonging to a cacher in Germany. This has been in this unpublished cache since September 2008. I was so happy to contact the owner of the coin letting them know I picked up their long lost coin.
So, I would like to bring to you, this very special TB hotel. It's perfect for me as I seem to have a thing for travel bugs (as all you local cachers know). This is in my front yard (7068 side) so don't be afraid to come get it. I know, I know, I don't particularly like caches in front yards myself but it'll be so worth it. Check it out and bring your TBs for a nice stay.
There are prizes in there from the previous owner of this hotel for the FTF, STF and TTF of unactivated geocoins.
You can't miss it, it's a 32" x 12" x5 1/2" ammo can. You'll find it at the base of the cedar. ***Please enter from 7068 yard. You can park in my driveway but ONLY if it's 7068.
