Geocache Description:

This parking lot was opened in 1976. Harriet, Mrs. J as she was called, and her husband, Bill, were among the first to really invest in Pinellas Park, FL. Mostly wooded at that time, they had their work cut out for them. Mrs. J loved nature, and wanted as few trees cut down as possible. This parking lot is a result of her influence.

It gives the feeling of being at a park. So much so that some local residents have taken walks through it as if this parking lot was a nature park. Some arrive thinking it is part of Freedom Lake Park which is just to the North. A few have asked, “how much a night to camp?”  The cache is an ammo box.

This really is Mrs. J’s parking lot. She was “green” before it was a thing. My hope for you is to seek what is natural, and find the adventure in it. Please, if you take treasure then leave some of equal value. Thank you.
