COVID-19 UPDATE: I have visited the area a couple times since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic and do agree that there is a "Trail Closed" sign at the published trailhead waypoint. However, that is indicating the small path to get you back TO the C&D Canal Trail is closed, not the C&D Canal Trail itself. I am adding another Parking waypoint that also provides an entry point onto the C&D Canal trail. These additional parking coordinates and trail entry point will add about a mile to the walk to get the cache, but there are other caches in the area that will be a closer option as well.

This CAM Bonus cache brings you onto the trail along the Chesapeake and Delaware Canal. The cache will be hiding in the shade, off the trail, waiting to be found. There is a path near the Parking 1 waypoint that was authorized to be used to access the trail along the C&D Canal prior to COVID-19.
