Geocache Description:


Fort Meade Recreation Area is managed by the BLM to protect, preserve and enhance it’s cultural, historic, recreational and wildlife values.

You’ll find a shady picnic and camping area under oak trees just off I-90. There is a nominal fee for camping. Restrooms and water are available. The 100 mile Centennial trail (trail 89) begins on top of Bear Butte and continues south to end in Wind Cave National Park. Enjoy the prairie flora/fauna and views of Bear Butte as you approach this cache. Short walk on the C-Trail from small parking spot. Please replace securely.Bring your own pencil to sign the log.
