"X" marks the start of the hiking trail
Camelback mountain is a splendid hike overlooking Pocatello from a grand vantage point often not seen. Other peaks have roads all the way to the summit and can be reached with convenience but this mountain takes some grunt work. Getting up there legally was a cloudy subject. But now, thanks to the efforts the Pocatello BLM office and Livingston Douglas we have found a point of entry, now marked by this geocache.
If you ever hike up Camelback mountain make sure to go from this point up toward the false summit north east of you. This information was updated November 2019.
