River view Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

radiomad: A maintenance visit was made on 28/5/20 and cache was missing. Presumably muggled.

The cache was temporarily disabled until 7/6/20 when the cache and log was replaced and cache enabled once more.

In the area on 28/6/20 for a maintenance visit and found the cache missing once more.

I have decided to archive this as it has clearly been compromised.

Geocache Description:

The river Trent is the third longest in Britain at 298km or 185 miles. Its source is on Biddulph Moor in Staffs and it flows into the Humber estuary after merging with the river Ouse. The nearby weir at Stoke lock may soon be generating hydro electric power. The Stoke weir scheme is expected to generate sufficient green energy to power over 500 homes and should provide an effective CO2e saving of around 1,040 tonnes per year. Similar generating schemes are already in use at Holme weir and Beeston weir.
