Geocache Description:

The Auckland area is full of fantastic places to cache and as a family we enjoy getting out there and exploring our little corner of the world. When we received the honour of being given a virtual cache we thought of many places we could put it and after a lot of consideration the idea for Virtually Anywhere In Auckland was born. But the fun doesn’t stop there! To add a little bit more of a challenge and encourage cachers to visit all these great places, we decided to create this ‘buddy’ cache – literally.

For the virtual cache you only need to visit 3 of the locations listed, but for this cache you will need to go to all the locations listed and find the required numbers to get the coordinates for the final. On the virtual page the tasks to get the required numbers for this cache are marked with a red asterisk (*) but we’ve also listed those specific tasks for ‘Literally’ on this page. Just a reminder that doing only the tasks with the red asterisk will not be enough to claim 'Virtually Anywhere In Auckland'.

Once you have all 9 numbers you will then be able to use the calculation below to figure out the final for this cache. We hope that you will have fun and enjoy this challenge in the spirit it was created.

Note: this is a terrain 4.5 cache and is located accordingly. You will need a TOTT/special equipment to reach the final of this cache.

To find the cache use the following calculations:
SOUTH = (J²) + (G*A*H) + (C*F) + (G-C-B)
EAST = (E²) + (F²) + ((F-A-D)*(A-H))
