The Patriots' Path stretches from East Hanover where it connects with the Lenape Trail in Essex County to Stephens State Park in Hunterdon County. Any Morris County cacher worth their salt has been on Patriots Path. It is ubiquitous and traverses some of the most beautiful terrain in the county. However, there are some sections that I would bet that most cachers have never been on, nor even know that they exist.
This is the latest in a series of caches to highlight these lesser known stretches and give them their due. Or in this case just a single spot?!? You can see a listing off all of the caches in the series by clicking on the following link:

Cache is located at the intersection of Route 206 and Daly Road in Chester Township. I was told by the originator of this series, MetsFanOfNJ that the Patriots Path does not run through this section of Morris County. But driving by on Route 206, I happened to spy the obiqutous Patriots Path marker. As a geocacher of the Patriots Path, I finally stopped by one day and sawe that this marker does in fact state that this is in fact is marked as a "Temporary End of Trail". But where is the rest of the trail??? Not a single trail blaze was seen in the proximatey of the marker. If you find more of the Patriots Path, please let me know, and I'll be sure to add some more geocaches here!
There is parking for a single vehicle almost adjacent to the geocaches hiding spot. But be careful anyway as you exit your vehicle.
