The date the CCC Camp closed on November 30, 1941 was a short week before the Japanese attack on pearl harbor. In assembling the national Armed Forces, the military agencies were cognizant of the abilities if the CCC supervisors and men. For Seven and a half years the had learned much about military life except military drill and shooting a gun. The had already served on land and water in all kinds of weather and terrain and on all kinds of jobs. The were experienced in living and working together. So thus they showed up in all parts of the world serving in the Army and Navy. The veterans of the CCC ere sought after by commanders who had a tough job that needed doing.
