King George V Memorial Walk is a level walk that runs alongside the Copperhouse tidal pool, a reminder of Hayle's heyday during the Industrial Revolution which is now home to a rich variety of birdlife. The trail, about three quarters of a mile long, goes through former GWR land which was landscaped and planted as part of Hayle's Millenium Project and won gold in the South West in Bloom competition. Go on a Sunday during the summer, when the route is closed to vehicles, to enjoy a totally traffic-free stroll
