Patience is Key Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

hogbot: I am sad to see this one go... But a homeless camp has popped up approximately 50 feet away with their trail passing only feet from the hiding spot. I visually searched the debris and detritus left around the homeless camp hoping to find a logbook or the Triceratops bone, but I unable to make out anything identifiable 😟 I won't replace the cache for obvious reasons so I guess it's time to archive this one. Thank you to the folks who came out to find it. I hope it made for a good experience.

Geocache Description:

Located along the Canyon Creek Trail is a semi circle of trees. Among the trees you will find a larger ammo can tied to the base of a tree. This cache replaces my very first gadget cache that I just couldn’t get published. After working on it for about one whole year, I decided that replacing it was easier than moving forward with the original...maybe I am just too impatient.

Dinosaur Bone

This cache contains an actual Triceratops fossil that I purchased directly from the paleontologist who discovered it. Also included is a letter of authenticity from Rob Sula, Field Paleontologist explaining a little more about it. Feel free to touch the fossil, especially the kiddos. It’s not often that people get to touch an actual dinosaur bone. I only ask that you do not take the bone from the cache. Please leave it for everyone to enjoy.
