Known as the gateway to the non-glacial Driftless Region, Hillsboro is the Czech capital of Wisconsin. Every year, Hillsboro is host to Cesky Den, a celebration to honor the heritage from the country of Bohemia that settled in the cities of, including Hillsboro, Yuba, Dilly, White City and Mt. Tabor in the 1860’s. By the early 1900’s, this area was made up of mostly Czech. This year, it will hold its 38th celebration.
