In 2007, 6 crazy women..Sandbassqueen, Arives, GGGal, Countsmama, DreamcacherV and Gilliansage set forth to Mount Pleasant to cache without their spouses, to cache without the butt shot pictures and to stop and take a break for lunch. The tradition has carried forth every year since then during the summer, and usually on Mondays.
Join us for The Return of The Girls of Summer! Girlymen are welcome, too. We will meet at one of the GoS iconic lunch places - Ham Orchard. For those who have never been, Ham Orchard is a large peach and berry farm that also has a variety of baked goods, jams, jellies, canned goods and their famous peach ice cream. Outdoors under the pavillion, they serve Eddie Dean's BBQ with all the fixins'. There's even peach wood smoked BBQ. Someone might even be performing in the pavillion. Bring your trackables you've saved up for the past year and a half (if people are still doing that) and any Covid war stories to share.
Mask are not required, HOWEVER, no one will be shamed for wearing one or not wearing one! Anyone who does will be asked to leave. Remember, this is a Community Celebration Event and that's what we're going to do. With or without masks.
