WHAT? The 147th of the Beds, Bucks and Herts Bordering on the Ridiculous events. This is an ongoing series of mid-monthly-ish, mid-week-ish regular events at various locations, handy for natives of the three counties to talk caching, plan expeditions, swap TBs/geocoins and decide who's organising the next one if that's not already been done. Very much open to all cachers, old and new, from near and far. An outdoor venue (especially for Covid wary cachers) in the middle of September, so be prepared to bring a brolly (check the weather forecast)
WHEN? Wednesday 8th September, from 7:00pm 'til 9:30pm. The road to the monument is closed to motor vehicles at 10:00pm, so if we continue later we'll have to move our cars.
WHERE? The Bridgewater Monument, Ashridge. Hopefully the weather will be kind to us, otherwise we may get wet (but we're not fair weather cachers, are we?)
WHAT ELSE? There are no refreshments, so feel free to bring a cake and a flask if you want to eat and drink, maybe also a folding chair. There are no toilets, so don't have too much to drink. It will be dark by the end, so bring a torch, especially if you are caching afterwards ... there are some night caches nearby, plus plenty of other caches if you've not already found or owned them. This is a Community Celebration Event, so it's not the usual icon you'll be getting.
